Julien Escribe, partner and managing director at ISG, noted that enterprises require fresh guidance to set the right priorities: “The way companies in France choose security services is changing.”
Shift Toward Integrated Security
French organisations are moving away from fragmented solutions and adopting integrated platforms that provide a single view of threats. The report shows growing reliance on secure access service edge (SASE) and all-in-one security offerings that merge network protection and connectivity.
Service providers that can supplement in-house teams are in demand, particularly as companies adopt multicloud strategies that complicate integration, visibility, and management.
Regulations Driving Change
The implementation of EU directives like NIS2 and the AI Act into French law is pushing more than 15,000 enterprises into new compliance obligations. To meet these requirements, governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) policies are being woven into security strategies.
With financial stress and a shortage of cybersecurity talent, many firms continue to lean on technical security service (TSS) providers for automation, centralised oversight, and operational support.
The AI Factor in Cyberattacks
Malicious actors are increasingly leveraging AI to enhance cyberattacks, making detection and response more difficult. In turn, enterprises are investing in AI-driven security solutions, including generative AI-powered detection, automated incident responses, and enhanced employee training.
Benoît Scheuber, principal consultant and security analyst at ISG, emphasized the industry shift: “[Clients] seek providers that can integrate the best products into a unified platform for operational efficiency.”
