Google Unveils Gemini Enterprise: The AI Platform Aiming to Transform the Workplace

Google Cloud has introduced Gemini Enterprise, a new platform designed to become what it calls “the front door for AI in the workplace.” The launch signals Google’s push to make AI agents as essential to office productivity as spreadsheets and email once were.

A Unified AI Ecosystem for Every Employee

Gemini Enterprise brings together Google’s Gemini models, AI agents, and the underlying technology of its former Agentspace product. The goal is to create an environment where both developers and business professionals can build, manage, and automate tasks through a no-code interface.

Thomas Kurian, CEO of Google Cloud, explained that companies are moving past basic AI applications and are now building “agents” that can handle end-to-end processes. Gemini Enterprise serves as a cohesive platform for that evolution—essentially Google’s complete AI stack wrapped into one intuitive system.

The Brains, the Workbench, and the Taskforce

The platform operates through six core components. At its heart are Google’s Gemini models, including the new Gemini 2.5 Flash Image. The Workbench gives users the tools to build and orchestrate AI agents, while the Taskforce offers pre-built agents for specific needs—such as the Code Assist Agent for developers or the Deep Research Agent for analysts.

Deep integration with tools like Microsoft Teams, Salesforce, Box, Confluence, and Jira allows these agents to access company data and automate context-aware workflows. As Kurian put it, “We remember who you are and what you do, using it to personalize how the model interacts with you.”

Security and oversight are managed through a unified governance layer featuring tools like Model Armor, while an open ecosystem of over 100,000 partners enables third-party integrations and solutions.

Turning Conversations Into Workflows

To showcase the system’s potential, Google demonstrated a “campaigns agent” that coordinated market research, content generation, and logistics for a marketing initiative. Within minutes, it analyzed market trends, identified an inventory shortage, created a purchase order in ServiceNow, drafted an email for store managers, and generated visuals for social media.

“Gemini Enterprise isn’t just a chatbot,” said Google’s Maryam Gholami. “It’s a full workflow system that unifies data, tools, and teams—transforming weeks of effort into a single, intelligent conversation.”

Businesses Deploy “Fleets” of AI Agents

Companies like Virgin Voyages and Macquarie Bank are already using Gemini Enterprise at scale. Virgin Voyages’ CEO, Nirmal Saverimuttu, emphasized that the goal is collaboration, not replacement.

“Our people are our greatest asset,” he said. “AI helps unlock their potential—it doesn’t replace it.”

The cruise line has rolled out more than 50 custom agents, including one dubbed “Email Ellie,” which has increased content output by 40% and reduced creative agency costs by 35%. Meanwhile, Macquarie Bank reported that 99% of its employees have completed Google’s AI training and now use Gemini agents daily.

Training a Million Developers

To help users get up to speed, Google launched Google Skills, a new education platform featuring over 3,000 free AI courses. Alongside it comes the Gemini Enterprise Agent Ready (GEAR) initiative—a program aiming to train one million developers in building and deploying agents.

Pricing and Availability

Gemini Enterprise is available wherever Google Cloud products are sold. The Business plan starts at $21 per seat per month, while the Enterprise Standard and Plus tiers start at $30 per seat per month.
